Our Recruitment Process

The Chase Group has established a detailed, structured recruitment process that has proven successful for recruiting high-quality candidates in the Life Sciences. The Chase Group senior consultant assigned to your search develops a target candidate profile by conducting an in-depth inventory of your company’s unique structure, philosophy, management style, corporate culture and work environment. The open position will be discussed and clarified as to the company’s needs and expectations. The consultant subsequently orients the Chase team, setting the recruitment process in motion:

Step 1: Briefing Your Chase Team

Each team member is thoroughly indoctrinated with the goals and objectives of the search as you set forth in the initial discussions with your consultant.

Step 2: Search Initiation

We initiate a search of our extensive database of more than 75,000 active candidates and professionals in similar positions who may either be qualified for the position or refer us to other professionals. Our nationwide network of experts now working in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and academic medicine typically produces referrals that lead to more referrals. It is a meticulous process that may sometimes require an investment of hundreds of telephone hours to identify a single, high-interest candidate.

Step 3: In-Depth Interview and Reference Investigation

The senior consultant leading your search interviews each potential candidate to ensure that the requisite knowledge, skills, experience and orientation match the profile we have developed. We will also thoroughly check candidates’ references, job history and educational credentials as required by your human resources department.

Step 4: Presentation of Qualified Candidates

Your senior consultant will present all qualified candidates and all supporting documents to your hiring official. Your hiring official can then prioritize the candidates and the formal interview process may begin.

Step 5: Telephone and On-Site Interviews

The Chase team coordinates all specific times, dates, places and interview schedules for telephone and on-site interviews as appropriate. Your Chase senior consultant also conducts pre- and post-interview briefings with candidates and hiring officials to determine follow-up interviews.

Step 6: Offer Presentation, Negotiation, Acceptance and Follow-Up

The Chase Group takes special pride in our ability to successfully present offers, negotiate acceptance terms and provide follow-up support to your candidate. It is an integral part of our service to you to assist the selected candidate through what can be a stressful period of resignation, relocation and orientation to the new position, company and community. This final service has proven to build enduring relationships with our clients as well as with the candidates we place.
